It has been about 4 weeks since I started working out at my new gym. My old gym was a little further away, the hours were bad and they charged A LOT monthly for child care. It's to be expected considering I have 4 children but considering the child care part was really kinda cheesy and there wasn't much for the kids to do, it just seems like a waste. I have been a member of my old gym for close to 2 years and was rarely going because I have been working so much. The hours weren't working for me. So, Jason and I joined LA Fitness! I like it so far! The hours are way better, it has a pool (which I am way excited about, but have yet to use it) and the child care is way cheaper! The kids gym is actually a place the kids can run and play and actually get a workout themselves!
My goal was to work out at least 3 times a week. So far so good! I am actually starting to feel good! ENERGIZED! I am starting to notice a difference in my body!! Which of course makes me feel even better! They just added a few dance classes which I fully intend on taking advantage of!!
So, I am going to use this blog to keep track of my workouts. I am on the search of a few good routines because right now I am kinda just *adlibing* it right now.
I am starting off slow with the cardio because I am very much out of shape. It was kinda depressing in the beginning but I am starting to feel better about it! I have managed to build some endurance and am able to mentally push myself a little more!!
Todays workout: cardio/arms/abs
2 miles on the treadmill RUNNING!! (1 mile on an incline)
1/2 mile of walking
35 minutes of cardio!
I know this is a little slow but I am working on distance and building my endurance, I will bring in the speed once I feel comfortable with my pace and distance.
Wore my wrist weights to work on my arms while running.
Worked on my upper arms and abs.
I need to write down all my routines as I go so I know what I am doing. Going to find some routines to follow. Sometimes a list to follow is the best way to go for me...LOL!!
My blog title reminds me of my faves from one of my faves :) LOL. Feeling Good performed by Adam Lambert
Have a lovely day!
